This includes non-smokers experiencing misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of the disease. This is despite the fact that lung cancer is a leading cause of death, and smoking is not the only known cause of the illness. People exposed to second-hand smoke, asbestos or radon are also at risk of developing lung cancer.
