August 18, 2014 – The University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center will host the sixth annual Focus on Mesothelioma Conference in Philadelphia on September 26, 2014. That Friday is designated at National Mesothelioma Awareness Day. The Conference will be co-hosted by The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
Topics to be discussed include participation in clinical trials, newest advances in treatment for peritoneal mesothelioma and pleural mesothelioma, palliative care, early detection, genetics, coping with mesothelioma, and surviving the disease. A donation to support the conference is suggested in lieu of an admission fee.
