March 5, 2013 – On March 15, 2013, the 12th Annual Penn Presbyterian Benefit – “Mad Party” – will be held at Vie in Philadelphia. The theme of the event is inspired by the hit AMC TV show, Mad Men, and attendees are encouraged to wear their vintage attire. The evening festivities will include a special tribute to this year’s “Hospital Hero”, Jack Ende, MD, the first CPUP Chief of Medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the inaugural Schaeffer Professor of Medicine.
The proceeds from the event will benefit Penn Medicine’s Mesothelioma & Pleural Program. Penn Medicine’s specialists offer mesothelioma patients more treatment options than other health facilities. The Program provides the most advanced treatments, surgical techniques and clinical trials.
Benjamin Shein of the law firm of the Shein Law and the Founder of the Benjamin Shein Family Foundation will be a Presenting Sponsor at the Benefit, bestowing a substantial donation to the Mesothelioma & Pleural Program. In addition, all members of the Shein Law will attend the Benefit in support of Penn Presbyterian’s continuing efforts to develop effective treatments and a cure for mesothelioma.
