September 30, 2014 – Philadelphia mesothelioma lawyers, Ben Shein and Bethann Kagan, of the Shein Law attended the sixth annual Focus on Mesothelioma Conference hosted by University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center and the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF.) The conference was held on September 24, 2014 in recognition of National Mesothelioma Awareness Day.
The Abramson Cancer Center focuses on researching effective treatments for mesothelioma and ultimately developing a cure. The Conference panel discussed the benefits of early diagnosis, the latest in clinical trials, and recent innovations in treatment options for both peritoneal mesothelioma and pleural mesothelioma. The program also offered information for caregivers including discussions on palliative care, genetics and effective coping methods.
