Benjamin
Shein was born and raised in the Philadelphia area.
After graduating from The Episcopal Academy in Merion,
Pennsylvania, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree
from The University of Pennsylvania in 1981. He
attended law school and received his Juris Doctorate
degree in 1984 from The University of Miami School
of Law in Coral Gables, Florida.
He
has been actively involved in protecting legal
rights since 1977 when he served as a law clerk
while still in high school. He became a practicing
attorney in 1985 and has devoted 100% of his professional
time and attention to seeking justice for injured
people.
Ben
has successfully represented asbestos victims
and their families for over 15 years, settling
hundreds of asbestos personal injury and wrongful
death lawsuits from mesothelioma, lung cancer
and other asbestos diseases. He has also received
several multi-million dollar jury verdicts on
behalf of his clients in asbestos and product

He
has lectured to doctors, lawyers, insurance representatives
and union leaders on asbestos exposure and disease.
He is a founding member of Asbestos Victims against
Default and Delay and a member of Asbestos Victims
of America.
Mr.
Shein is a member in good standing of the bars
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State
of New Jersey and also of the local and state
trial lawyers and bar associations. He is a member
of the Leaders Forum of the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America and a sustaining member of
Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
Mr.
Shein is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates
Forum for obtaining settlements, verdicts and
awards for his clients in excess of $1,000,000.00.

Bethann
P. Schaffzin graduated from The George Washington
University with a Bachelor of Business Administration
in 1989 and from Villanova University School of
Law with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1992. She
completed a clerkship with the Honorable Sandra
Mazer Moss upon graduation focusing on litigation
involving various toxic products such as asbestos,
DES, breast implants, lead paint, as well as medical
malpractice and professional liability cases.
She also served as a law clerk during the Summer
of 1990.
Since
1993, Bethann has concentrated her practice primarily
in representing victims of asbestos exposure,
as well as representing others injured by defective
products and people who are victims of medical
malpractice. She is a member of the Million Dollar
Advocates Forum for obtaining settlements, verdicts
and awards for her clients in excess of $1,000,000.
Ms.
Schaffzin is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania
and New Jersey, is a member of and sits on committees
for local, state and national trial lawyer associations,
and has published articles and lectured to various
audiences. She is also active in the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America, lobbying in Washington,
D.C. for injured people's rights, coordinating
the National Student Trial Advocacy Competition
and sitting on the Public Education Liaison Committee.
She is a member of the Temple University Beasley
School of Law Inns of Court. Additionally, Ms.
Schaffzin volunteers her time helping cancer patients
and their families cope with illness.
